Interior Design Announces 2025 Hall of Fame Inductees
Interior Design’s Hall of Fame gala is a time-honored tradition in the A&D industry, bringing together the best of the best to honor exceptional figures who elevate the fields of interior design and architecture. For the 41st Hall of Fame, this year’s black-tie gala, on Dec. 10, 2025, celebrates another milestone: It will be held at the reimagined Waldorf Astoria for the first time since 2016.
Selected by Editor-in-Chief Cindy Allen and a nominating committee of Hall of Fame members, the 2025 honorees are Héctor Esrawe, founder of Esrawe Studio; Pierre-Yves Rochon, founder of Pierre-Yves Rochon (PYR); and Marion Weiss and Michael Manfredi, founders and partners of WEISS/MANFREDI Architecture/Landscape/Urbanism. The celebratory evening will also include a special tribute to the Waldorf Astoria to recognize its importance on the Hall of Fame program.
“The Hall of Fame is about honoring those who not only master their craft but expand its possibilities,” Allen says. “This year’s inductees—Héctor, Pierre-Yves, Marion, and Michael—are united by a fearless embrace of cross-disciplinary thinking, cultural resonance, and design excellence. It’s only fitting that we celebrate them in the newly reimagined Waldorf Astoria, itself a global design icon.”
Interior Design’s 41st Hall of Fame gala will feature award-winning documentary films, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a special charitable cause to contribute to a better world.

Meet Interior Design‘s 2025 Hall of Famers
Héctor Esrawe, Founder of Esrawe Studio

A prolific interior and furniture designer, architect, academic, and entrepreneur, Héctor Esrawe is truly a multidisciplinary creative. Guided by Mexico’s rich traditions, Esrawe transforms natural materials into sculptural, evocative forms. Since founding his namesake firm in 2003, Esrawe balances deep passion with quality, taking on new challenges in his hospitality, cultural, and residential projects.
Esrawe’s work spans many fields, from furniture and limited-edition pieces, to interiors, architecture, installations in public spaces and museography. His furniture has been exhibited internationally, including at Object Gallery and Ateliers Courbet, and his designs have received awards such as Interior Design’s Best of Year Awards and Azure Awards. He has even been recently named an Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects.
Proud of his community and heritage, Esrawe also champions Mexican artisans, designers, and architects, while encouraging collaboration and multidisciplinary interaction. This enthusiasm has led him to co-found EWE Studio, MASA Galería, glass-making collective VISSIO, and Xinu perfumes. At his core, Esrawe’s passion leads him to push boundaries to craft something phenomenal.
Pierre-Yves Rochon, Founder of Pierre-Yves Rochon (PYR)
Just as iconic as the properties he’s designed, Pierre-Yves Rochon has become a legendary name in the luxury interior architecture space. Since founding his Paris-based firm in 1979, Rochon has crafted exceptional environments for restaurants, residences, and hotels around the world—including the redesign of the Waldorf Astoria New York, where Interior Design’s 2025 Hall of Fame gala will be held.
Rochon has offices in Paris and Chicago, while also working as a part of Perkins&Will. Over the past four decades, Rochon’s studio has gone on to craft gastronomic spaces for culinary luminaries like Joël Robuchon, Alain Ducasse, and transform renowned landmarks ranging from The Savoy in London to the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills.
His design philosophy is rooted in blending classicism with modernity, though Rochon also appreciates craftsmanship and bringing out the cultural essence of each locale. His approach transcends trends, embracing a contemporary yet timeless style that sets the global standard for luxury design.

Marion Weiss and Michael Manfredi, Founders + Partners, WEISS/MANFREDI

Founding partners of New York City design practice WEISS/MANFREDI, Marion Weiss and Michael Manfredi are known for their projects seamlessly integrating architecture and landscape. Sustainability and environmental stewardship are important to the firm’s mission. In fact, many of their design efforts have an ecological focus like Seattle Art Museum’s Olympic Sculpture Park and La Brea Tar Pits and Museum in Los Angeles.
On top of spearheading various design projects, WEISS/MANFREDI has also received numerous awards and competitions including the 2024 Louis I. Kahn Award in Architecture and the New York AIA Gold Medal. Their work has also been featured in prestigious exhibitions worldwide and is currently in the Library of Congress, and the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.
They’ve also been published multiple times—Princeton Architectural Press has published three monographs of their work while their fifth and most recent monograph Drifting Symmetries: Projects, Provocations, and Other Enduring Models, was published earlier this year by Park Books. At the forefront of architectural design practices, WEISS/MANFREDI is redefining the relationships between architecture, infrastructure, and art.
Waldorf-Astoria New York
For the first time since its closure for restoration, the iconic Waldorf Astoria New York will play host to the Hall of Fame gala. With a grand redesign led by inductee Pierre-Yves Rochon, the redesign honors the grandeur of the original Art Deco-inspired hotel. Guests will get a chance to experience the building’s redesign firsthand as the gala will honor the Waldorf Astoria’s legacy and its importance on Hall of Fame history.
“The Hall of Fame was born at the Waldorf Astoria 41 years ago, and returning after waiting nine long years is like coming home,” Allen says. “The magic, elegance and style, and the unmistakable sense of place that only the Waldorf Astoria creates—is woven into the very fabric of the Hall of Fame.”
