Discover Kevin Walz’s Colorful New Collab

A sensitivity to light and the nuances of color honed during Kevin Walz’s early-career background as a painter pervade his Walzworkinc. furnishings. The Interior Design Hall of Fame member’s latest collection, Numino, fabricated at the Ralph Pucci factory in New York, highlights translucent yet color-rich resin. Tabletops shaped like a lima bean or artist’s palette and propped on thin steel legs have a subtle lip, creating a tray effect that keeps objects secure. Simpatico seating elements, including a settee, a sofa, and a lounge chair, have an echoingly generous silhouette and upholstery specifiable in a two-texture scheme: nubby on top and velvet on bottom. One may observe that the tables seem slightly small in scale, while the seating appears oversized in comparison—and thus extra cosseting. That was intentional. “I wanted to make the furniture feels like it’s taking care of you,” Walz remarks.
